Fred Fisher and his wife Jan live in Hobart, Tasmania. Fred works in sculpture and design and is an Honorary Associate at the School of Art, University of Tasmania.

Fred enrolled at art school in 1985 and first exhibited in 1990. He has several works in public and private collections and completed a PhD in Art in 2006.
